Privacy Policy

CatBoard is built and operated by Reza Ilham, an independent developer based in Indonesia.

CatBoard does not upload or host the following product data:

• Repositories, source code, diffs, branches, worktrees, and git history.
• Task titles, descriptions, prompts, instructions, and agent output.
• Run transcripts, token counts, cost totals, and board history.

This data remains in CatBoard's local application support storage and in repositories you control.

Product analytics are off by default. CatBoard does not configure PostHog or send analytics until you opt in during onboarding or in Settings. Turning analytics off stops future collection and resets the local analytics identity.

When enabled, PostHog processes the events in its United States cloud. Collection is limited to:

• App lifecycle events, such as install, update, launch, background, and foreground.
• A task-start event with the selected agent type.
• Technical context added by the SDK, including an analytics identifier, app version and build, macOS version, and device model or type.

Analytics events do not contain prompts, task descriptions, repository names or contents, file paths, diffs, or agent output. Analytics are never required to use CatBoard.

If the Send Feedback control is available and you use it, CatBoard sends the message you type, the app version, and the macOS version to our configured form provider. CatBoard does not automatically attach your name, email, repositories, prompts, or agent output.

CatBoard uses Sparkle to fetch a signed update feed. Like any web request, the hosting services may receive your IP address, app version, and macOS version in ordinary access logs. These requests serve and secure updates, not advertising profiles.

catboard.dev is hosted on Vercel and uses Umami for aggregate page and download analytics. The site does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

The site stores your light or dark theme choice and language preference in localStorage. Hosting providers may keep ordinary security and access logs.

CatBoard runs agent CLIs that you install and authenticate, such as Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, Cursor, or OpenCode. Those CLIs may send prompts, files, and context to their providers under the providers' own terms and privacy policies. CatBoard does not control that traffic or retention.

Review each provider's policy before using it with private or regulated code.

• Consent, for optional product analytics and feedback you submit.
• Legitimate interests, for update delivery, website operation, security, and basic access logs.

Local product data remains on your Mac until you remove it. Analytics, feedback, and access logs are retained according to the configured provider retention needed to operate and improve CatBoard.

You may withdraw analytics consent in Settings. You may also ask for access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@catboard.dev. Where applicable, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

CatBoard is a developer tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.

If this policy changes materially, the date above will change and the new policy will be published here before or when the changed behavior ships.
